ShelfCloud OfficeNAS Storage appliance is based on FreeNAS^TM. 

Here are the main features of our storage solution:

• High resilience and fast recovery – The storage enables resilience from failure of any one disk out of 4 disks which comes with the system. While other 3 disks still continue to supply service. The system incorporates sophisticated techniques for detecting many silent data corruption errors and fast recovery without interrupting the service.

• Previous versioning mechanism - built-in feature to allow saving of

  previous versions of the file-system up to a resolution of 15 minutes back

  in time. In order to allow fast retrieval of previous content.

• Improved utilization – using features that improves

  storage utilization like:

  Compression - all the data that is written into the storage appliance is being

  compressed automatically. Data is uncompressed out of the fly for usual work.

  
  

            De-duplication - De-duplication is a unique feature usually found inside

            enterprise grade storage systems. De-duplication improves

            storage utilization - by eliminating duplicity of data and unifying all

            duplicated data inside the file-system to have only one copy.

• Blazingly fast – Up to 100MB per second !

  This is done by employing 2 levels of cache -

  First level cache – 4GB RAM

  And 10 times! second level SSD cache/log – 40GB

• Eco Friendly – About 50 Watts of total power consumption.

  Environment friendly and power saving is done by using low power CPU, Motherboard and green edition disks parts.
